Blizzards add more long range shooting
- By Michael Schmidtke, Day 101, 2023
MINNEAPOLIS - As the front office preaches patience while the rest of the league wheels and deals in some massive recent trades, the Blizzards have made a small move to hopefully add to what they are good at and that is long range shooting. Evan Coleman moves to Minneapolis from Oakland in exchange for two future second round picks and in a corresponding move, the Blizzards have also moved well liked Bakari Kostur to Cincinnati for the Jaguars 2nd round pick in 2013.
Evan Coleman is a gamble but he joins a roster willing to bank on his long term potential. He's been developed well thus far with plenty of chances in Oakland and will join the rotation at point guard in one of the leagues bet three point shooting teams, currently seventh overall with 551 threes made. Coleman has a team option for next season.
Kostur, who has been getting into arguments with other players on the roster will take his talents to Cincinnati. A gifted playmaker, Kostur suffered sitting behind Deleon Slay and will hopefully get a chance to display his skills with another franchise.
