Tritons re-sign All-JBL Antoine Peeler to lead Tritons charge

OAKLAND -

Antoine Peeler, who put together a career season leading him to his first 1st team All-JBL selection, has re-signed with the Tritons for four years with a player option. Peeler brings back his career high 25.9 points per game to re-join his fellow 1st team All-JBL teammate Marcus Ivory to maintain the potent punch that led the Tritons to one of the top offenses in the league.

Cross: "We're over the moon that Antoine re-signed with us to a long term deal. The fans love him, Oakland loves him, and most of all his teammates love him. Antoine's comfort in our system will probably take him to even higher levels of success and respect in our league without a doubt. We thought 52% from the field and 43% from 3 point land for a wing was mind blowing.. wait until this year."

"There was an offer to try to lure Antoine to another team, but in the end, we believe Antoine wanted to lead the team with Marcus to take us to the finals where we belong. The addition of a player like Kai Navigato added to our vets like Zeke and Alonzo, plus our two headed point guard attack, and all of our other players.. we feel like we're going to be unstoppable.

Press: "So who is really THE franchise player?"

Cross: "Quit trying to cause artificial drama. We're a team with multiple leaders. Tritons don't care about jersey sales, billboards, or labels.. Tritons are all about the championship. We talked to Antoine and he knows how much he means to us. All the players are faces of the franchise with one common goal. That's what a team is. You got kids? Which one will you label as your favorite? You wanna cause that kind of bullshit drama in your family? Yeah, thought so. Wanna know what roles we really give each player? Winners. Period."
