Las Vegas Puts All Chips In, Acquires Pace for Sherman and Picks

LAS VEGAS - The Scorpions have decided to go all-in in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, sending their 2024 1st round pick, 2025 1st round pick, 2027 2nd round pick and PF Wesley Sherman to the Chicago Jailbirds for SF Pace LaGarde and their 2025 2nd round pick.

After acquiring Jarrell Harrison and JJ Cooper in the draft, the Scorpions felt comfortable gambling by trading Sherman, named 2nd team All Defense this year, and multiple picks to acquire LaGarde.

LaGarde is expected to upgrade the weakest issue on the team as a backup scorer to Francis on the rare occasions when he needs rest. The Scorpions believe Harrison can start at PF, with Cooper as a reserve, to resolve front court issues from last season.

Pace should also be a great locker presence, with the team values with the general youth on the team. A press conference has been scheduled for 3:00 PM PST.
