Skyhawks send future first for Nix

ST LOUIS - w7 continued to be aggressive in the offseason as the Skyhawks added sharpshooter SG Cameron Nix to the roster for their first round pick in next years draft. Nix who is a native to nearby KC will slide right in at starting SG and cement a very solid starting five for the 'Hawks.

Over his 7 seasons in the league he is shooting .407 from deep and will start along side wallace (43%) easily making the duo one of the most dangerous in the entire league. Add to that Rubin Wingfield and his .395 and 12 apg and this team starts looking very interesting.

The 'Hawks were able to add both Nix and Wingfield to last seasons roster without giving up any players.

GM W7 "We reloaded. We had a down year and everyone knew it would be down when we traded Novak...but we reloaded. This was our vision...Larry's style is to have a passer move the ball around and get good looks..and now have very solid young talent behind both of these guys in phillips and Dhunt, and we feel great about the team now and 4 years from now and we have shown Donnell and Mark that we are serious. We want to give this team every chance to win. Today and Next year too. We think with two of the best three point shooters in the entire league and Mark down low... well at least on paper with Wingfield feeding whoever is open... yeah this could be special"

The Skyhawks also own the Rockets top pick next year who local beat writers think could be a top 6 pick.

Asked to comment on the upcoming free agency and if he has talked to wallace. "Yes I think it will work out. We will match any offer to wallace. We know he needs to get paid and we will be taking care of him."
