Washington Out in Detroit

  • By Joel Steelman, Day 1, 2023

DETROIT - Following a sub-optimal season, the Detroit Mustangs have informed Troy Washington that his services will no longer be required. Washington was retained last year after leading the Mustangs to the finals, but was told when he was signed that he was on a short leash regarding performance after struggling in previous years with a core of good talent.

GM Joel Steelman was asked about the decision to which he replied “Troy was a great PG when I brought him in and a great steward of the Mustangs during his prolonged tenure here. We wish him the best of luck, but it’s time we as an organization move on.”
