Jackson Off Jacks

PORTLAND - After signing with the Lumberjacks at the end of the last FA period, Troy Jackson was given until the end of training camp to prove that he deserved the last roster spot more than fellow undrafted signee Isaac Webb. Jackson did that and survived the final cut, taking his place on the inactive list to begin the season but eventually getting his chance to play.

"Troy showed that he can play in this league," said the Jacks GM. "He had somesolid games and we think he was tracking along nicely. Unfortunately, we just made a trade and we're one roster spot short. We wish Troy all the best in his search for a new team."

Jackson averaged 8.1 minutes in 23 appearances. His best performance for Portland came against the Tritons, when he had 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal in 17 minutes.
