OAKLAND -
The Tritons acquired Alonzo Traylor and a 2nd round pick in 2024 from the Austin Rockets in exchange for 2022 2nd rounder Alan Browning and three 2nd round picks (Tritons 2024, Colonels 2024, and Tritons 2025)

By making this trade, the Tritons seek to give Marcus Ivory more support in the post in a push to succeed in the playoffs. Alonzo Traylor returns to the Tritons where he was a 2nd team all rookie in 2009 followed by a long career and a championship with the Thunder. With short stints at Boston and Austin, Alonzo is hopeful to finish his career where he began with a second championship ring.

GM Reggie Cross:

“We’re excited to bring in Alonzo with he years of experience to help us in this playoff push. We think he’ll bring the big post presence support that we’ve been missing after giving up Hart earlier in the season. Alonzo, along with Rahsaan, will definitely give us big bodies to compliment Marcus in the paint.”

“As for Alan, he was a great teammate who showed great promise in practice, but we felt that he wasn’t getting the game time development he could with another team. We’re sure he’ll be a successful contributor in the JBL and wish him the best of luck at Austin.”
