Vultures acquire Warriors 2023 #1 for Brooks

PHOENIX -
The Phoenix Vultures today traded Ashanti Brooks and Amani Thrash to the Philadelphia Warriors for their 2023 1st round draft pick.

In a short announcement GM sik_air expressed his reluctance to deal Brooks however team circumstances had opened up the possibility of dealing the Vultures' 6th man.

"You never want to move a young rotation player that has shown clear starter potential and upside, however the situation with Rasheem made the backup PG position less of a priority for the team's future. We hope Ashanti gets the opportunity to showcase his skills in Philly and wish him the best."

"Adding the draft pick next season is obviously a longer term game, and it will give us flexibility in the trade and rookie market as we keep building toward contending in the JBL. We'll activate Jeremy Wynn in the meantime, and will evaluate the backup PG position in the short term."

The deal also moved inactive SF Amani Thrash to the Warriors. Thrash, a contributor in 2021, had lost his place in the rotation after rookie SF Aquille Glover fell to the Vultures at #23 in the draft.
