After a rough 1st quarter, the Tritons managed to hold down Drayton Banks somehow throughout the second half of the game and get a good victory against the Vults. Amazingly Lamar Francis only needed to score 20 points with the team shooting a strong 48% and 42% from 3's. Isaiah Foreman scored 23 points while the bench played well with Grant Hayes scoring 14 to go with Perkins' 13 points. In a strategic move, Hood came off the bench while Jameson got his first start scoring 10 points. The Vults didn't shoot all that bad at 46% but their 16 points off turnovers were costly. Fisher had a good 22 points and 11 assists while Banks had just 17. 6th man MItchell Van Bree continued to find success with 21 points off the bench. With such a bad stretch of games, the Tritons were glad to have pulled a win out in the way they did... balanced scoring with good defense.

End of Game:    Tritons can't get any closer.  Predators win.                                                     116-107 Predators

After beating the Predators in their last three meetings, the Tritons' luck finally ran out. Deandre Stackhouse finally put together a strong outing against the Tritons with 31 points and 14 rebounds with Sanford also putting in a double double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Keyon Barber found his stroke as well with 21 points and 5 of 9 shooting from 3. Overall, it was the Predators 3 point shooting (39% vs Tritons 31 %) and points off turnovers (17 to 9) that cost the Tritons the game. Francis tried to carry the team again with 38 points with some help from Navigato (18 pts) and Hood (14 pts) but it was not enough to beat the Preds. A shitty way to go into the all-star break. Tritons will need to make up some ground in the last third of the season, but things could be worse sitting in 10th in the west.

Tritons are glad Lamar "Franchise" Francis will be going to the all star game. He certainly deserves it. Meanwhile the other Oakland players will need to work with the coach to figure out how to contribute more to push for that last playoff spot.
