Announcement of New Head Coach

  • By Hamish Jones, Day 1, 2021

BOSTON - General Manager Hamish Jones is pleased to confirm that the Boston Crusaders and Shane Jackson have agreed to terms that will see Shane Jackson return to a Head Coaching role in 2021 after he signed a 4 year contract with the team.

“We saw how integral Jackson was to the Scorpions in his Assistant Coaching Role last season,” Jones said, “and after initial interviews we could tell he’d rekindled his passion for Coaching at the highest levels. We’re confident he can bring our squad together and have a competitive team from day one.

His previous team had great on court success in 2020, reaching the Conference Finals and the Crusaders think that Jackson has what it takes to deliver the Crusaders their first Championship in teh JBL.

Jackson is excited by the challenge. “My time didn’t end well at the Tritons,” Jackson said, “and I lost a little bit of my passion for the game. But after some time away and then some time back in the game as an Assistant Coach I am ready to be back and excited by the Challenge the upcoming season brings.”

“The team has put together a great Squad of youth and experience and I am confident they can work together - being competitive from day one. It will require daily work and an ever improving process but we can build a winning culture and have everyone working for the benefit of the team.”

Season tickets and new team jerseys are currently on sale. For more information check out bostoncrusaders.com
