Vegas signs Bruton, cuts McConnell

LAS VEGAS - The Scorpions made a move for a defensive wing by picking up the recently waived Heath Bruton from the Predators. The move gives the Scorpions a defensive wing to backup Ronshad Fox. The deal is 1 year for 1.5 million dollars.

To complete the move, the Scorpions waived Jadon McConnell. "Jadon had a poor training camp on defense so this move just seemed to make sense for what we are trying to accomplish here." The former Toreros PG/SG averaged 5.7 PPG and 3 AST in 22 games while almost playing 20 mins a game. While Burton had similar numbers last year in Dallas this seems like an upgrade to the coaching staff.

"My boy is coming to town!" said Robert Weeks who has an excellent relationship with Bruton off the court.
