Kings obtain top ten pick next season

CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Kings announced that the team has acquired the #8 overall pick in next year’s draft from the Baltimore Bullets in exchange for small forward Pace LaGrande.

“Pace had a tremendous impact on this organization and his legacy within the community of Cincinnati will be permanent. I wish him the best of luck,” said a team spokesman.

“This was a very difficult decision. The team finished well under .500 last season, but we have a lot of young talent. The upcoming expansion draft gave us a choice of either trying to build on a veteran core that managed 18 wins, or rebooting and embracing youth. We chose the path which we believe is more likely to lead to the ultimate goal of winning a JBL Championship,” said The Process.

Pace played in 539 games for the Kings after being drafted #1 overall in 2010, and was a key member of the 2014 championship team.

All veterans on the Kings are available for trade.
